The B&B Lo Straniero is situated in an uncontaminated environment, in the most beautiful historic centre of Rivello (Potenza) in Basilicata, in a medieval village on 500 meters of altitude, characteristic for its countless alleys to be passed through like a jointed labyrinth.

The continuous ups and downs of steps, necessary to connect the various ancient quarters realized in “casbahs”, offer to the visitor refined architecture of ancient doorways and artistic balconies in wrought iron adorned by multicoloured pelargonium.

The activities of the Bed & Breakfast are carried out inside a residence of the eighteens century, blessed with a large terraced garden below, everything set in a highly panoramic area.


It is possible to admire the entire “Valle del Noce”, the “Monte Sirino” (and its ski runs) , the “Monte Coccovello” (wellknown for its “carsian” nature) and even a peak of the “Pollino”, the main mountain group of the Calabro-Lucano Appenines.
